Frequently Asked Questions

Pool Table Moving

Answers to common questions about professional pool table moving, disassembly, transportation, reassembly and levelling.

What does a professional pool table move include?

A professional pool table move typically includes careful disassembly, protection of the slate, frame, rails and other components, transportation to the new location, reassembly and precision levelling. Our pool table movers plan each relocation around the size and construction of the table, property access, stairs and the distance between locations.

Why does a slate pool table need to be disassembled before moving?

Most slate pool tables are designed to be disassembled before transportation. Attempting to move a fully assembled slate table can place unnecessary stress on the frame, slate and fastening points and can make safe handling much more difficult. Proper pool table disassembly allows each component to be protected and transported individually before the table is professionally reassembled and levelled at its destination.

Do you disassemble and reassemble pool tables?

Yes. Pool table disassembly and reassembly are core parts of our moving service. Our pool table movers carefully remove and organize the rails, cloth, slate and other components as required, transport them to the new location and rebuild the table according to its original configuration.

Do you level the pool table after it is moved?

Yes. Proper pool table levelling is an essential part of reassembly. Once the table has been positioned and rebuilt, the slate and frame are checked and adjusted so the playing surface is level before the table is considered complete.

Can you move a pool table within the same home or building?

Yes. Pool table moving does not always involve transportation to a different address. We can relocate a pool table between rooms, floors or areas of the same property when access allows. Depending on the table and route through the property, partial or complete disassembly may still be required.

Can you move a pool table into or out of storage?

Yes. We can move pool tables into storage, retrieve pool tables from storage and relocate stored tables to a new home or business. Slate and other components are protected and organized for transportation, and the table can be professionally reassembled and levelled when it reaches its final destination.

Can you move billiard and snooker tables?

Yes. In addition to standard pool tables, we can review billiard tables, snooker tables and other slate gaming tables for professional moving. Because construction, dimensions and weight can vary considerably, provide the table type, approximate size and photographs when requesting your quote.
